AIR FORCE ACADEMY – It’s cool beans that Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi is the first Colorado State quarterback to walk out of Falcon Stadium with a victory since Bradlee Van Pelt.

And that ain’t too shabby. But know what would be hot sauce?

If BFN became the first CSU QB to win the Mountain West championship since BVP.

Holding on by the hairs of their chinny-chin-chins in the fourth quarter, the Rams beat Air Force 21-13 Saturday night, winning on the road against their in-state rival for the first time since – get this – 2002.

“I was one year old,” CSU running back Avery Morrow said. “That’s crazy.”

For the first time in his three-season tenure, Rams coach Jay Norvell recorded a victory against Air Force, Wyoming or Colorado after losing six in a row against the foes that CSU fans love to hate.
